The TSRC and MGC Diagnostics Join Forces for Pulmonary Diagnostics Testing

06/19/2017

The 46th annual TSRC (Texas Society for Respiratory Care) State Convention and Exhibition will be held July 19-21, 2017 at the Waco Convention Center in Waco, Texas. On Friday, July 21st, the TSRC and MGC Diagnostics have partnered to offer a unique one-day pulmonary function workshop. This unique PFT workshop will include a special opportunity for those practitioners who have an interest in advancing their knowledge and skills in the area of pulmonary diagnostics testing. Specific topics will include current testing techniques, FOT testing, performance standards, quality assurance procedures and clinical applications for cardiopulmonary diagnostic testing.

This special event will provide up to 7 CRCE Hours.

When asked how the idea for partnering with TSRC transpired, Lisa Knepper, Education and Training Manager at MGC Diagnostics said, “We are committed to advancing the knowledge of those in the pulmonary diagnostics field. We’ve been looking for ways to reach more therapists at regional events. The TSRC is known for providing excellent educational opportunities for its members and pulmonary diagnostics is an area we both feel is underserved for staffs that perform this type of testing.”

The program is open to anyone and provides a great opportunity for those experienced technicians or those who have never worked in a pulmonary lab to be able to expand their knowledge in this area of diagnostics.
